In order to compete at Nationals, each contestant must turn in one ad page.
Each ad page is $150. and is a half - size ad page. Each contestant must turn in one half-page ad.
Ad Pages are due February 1st, 2023!
The ad fee covers
(1) Photogentic entry
(1) tote bag
(1 program book
(1) competition admission ticket for a parent or chaperone
A contestant can submit more than 1 ad page. The contestant that submits the most ad pages will win the title of (State) Cover Miss Heart of the USA. She will receive a State Crown, Rhinestone Trimmed sash, and state prize package.
Any contestant selling 10 or more program book ads will automatically be crowned a (STATE) Hostess Miss Heart of the USA. She will receive a State Crown, Rhinestone Trimmed sash, and State Prize Package.

Self Introduction
Formal Wear
Each contestant is required to compete in the self-introduction, formal wear, and at least one optional!
Each contestant receives a photogenic entry as part of their entry fee. Contestants can submit up to 2 additional photos for a total of 3 photos submitted as optional. Photos must be 8x10 and turned in at pageant check-in .

Please show us your own unique sense of style! A model like you is in a fashion show! Items can be custom-made or off the rack, but most have hearts, red or pink, incorporated into the outfit somehow.

During the Self-Introduction portion of the competition each contestant has the opportunity to show us your unique sense of style by customizing her National T-shirt. An award is given in each age division for Fashionista and then one overall Fashionista Queen is crowned at the pageant.
FASHIONSTA COMPETITION FEE: $20
Interview is open to Little Miss - Elite Ms. division only. Attire for an interview is the same as self-introduction - your Miss Heart of the USA T-Shirt and white pants/capris/skirt
THE INTERVIEW ENTRY FEE IS $30
The Community Queen is warded to the Miss Heart of the USA Queen who accumulates the most Community Queen points during her reign. She is an active and involved member. She not only volunteers her time, talent and energy to benefit the less fortunate in her community she is truly a role model for young ladies across the USA!
Each month you will submit a monthly sheet for your Miss Heart of the USA appearance to the State office. Please also print these and turn them in at the state pageant as well.
This title is awarded to the contestant who turns in the most nonperishable food items at at the state pageant, per state. All items collected must be brought and turned in at the state pageant. All donations are being given to a food bank in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Area. Contestants can also bring in grocery store gift cards. Contestants must bring in a minimum of 15 non perishable food items or $15 for the food bank. Each $1 donated to the food bank on site will count as 2 nonperishable food items. You will check items in directly with the food bank and then be given a card to bring to check in with your total. Contestants must check in their donations with the food bank before they will be allowed to pick up their packet and t-shirt at the state check in.
The other Queen of Hearts will go to the young lady who collected and donated the most non-perishable food items during her reign to local organizations. Donations must be verified by the organization you are donated to on their official letterhead and be turned into the State Office no later than March 1st. Anything done after the March 1st deadline will not count toward this title. You will also need to bring in printed copies of those papers to attach to your check-in sheet.
The People’s Choice title is voted on by friends, family, and the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and the contestant with the most votes by the time voting closes at State wins! Voting is done in $10 increments. We will award one title to the highest votes in Iowa and one title to the highest vote in Illinois
All State Queens have the opportunity to collect "signatures for scholarships." Each signature line represents a $5 donation. Have the person making the donation sign a line for each $5 they are donating. By collecting just 30 "signatures for scholarships" (that one full page), your crown turns to round. This helps allow us to award scholarships/prizes at the state pageant
The more money that is raised, the more scholarships we can award at the state and the national pageant
